For this exhibition the artist selected and staged a version of the world in which he would like to live in. It is the first comprehensive engagement with the medium of photography at the Fondation Beyeler, which some time ago added a wonderful group of works by Tillmans to its collection. The exhibition focuses on the artist's purely abstract photographs, and explores the presence abstraction has had within his figurative and representational work.
