NORFOLK, Va. — On Dec. 7 Gold Star families were greeted by more than 280 service members at Norfolk International Airport as they boarded the Snowball Express flight to Disneyland.

The Patriot Guard and service members from Joint Base Langley Eustis and surrounding military installations volunteer annually to escort children of fallen service members to their all-expenses paid Snowball Express trips. More than 300 service members and the Virginia Patriot Guard lined the airport to show support for the children of fallen service members.
